Your baby is growing
At 14 weeks, your baby is growing and can do a lot of things. Brain impulses make his facial muscles frown, squint, grimace, look surprised. Myriad expressions form in his little face. He can even suck his thumb and grasp too. Now, isn't that remarkable. That's not all. His kidneys produce urine that is released into the amniotic fluid around him. This will go on, till the time of birth. Your baby at 14 weeks measures 3 1/2 inches from head to toe. His body is growing at a rate that is faster than his head that is on a more well formed neck. As the week draws to an end,his arms will grow and be in proportion to his body. His body is covered with ultra fine hair called Lanugo. While his liver starts producing bile, his spleen assists in producing RBC (Red Blood Cells). Perhaps, you won't feel the movement inside you at this stage. But your baby's hands and legs are much more active than before.
