At 22 weeks, your baby will begin to look like a tiny newborn. He is now 11 inches and weighs nearly a pound. A lot of changes are happening. Tiny teeth buds develop under his gums. Even though his eyes have formed, there is no pigment in his iris. There is fine hair lanugo all over his body and his skin has deep wrinkles. What’s also developing is his pancreas inside his belly. Stretch marks that is so quintessential during pregnancy start appearing. It is a sign of expanding abdomen to accommodate your baby. The color of these stretch marks can vary as per your skin colour. Stretch marks are common in more than half the pregnant women. Not only the stomach, these marks can also appear on your thighs, breast, hips and even buttocks. Use a moisturizer to prevent any itching sensation.
