WHAT IS UMBILICAL CORD BLOOD, CORD TISSUE, AND PLACENTAL STEM CELL BANKING?

Umbilical cord blood, cord tissue, and placental stem cell banking is the process of collecting, processing, and cryopreserving the valuable stem cells found within a newborn's umbilical cord and placenta. These sources contain a diverse range of stem cells, including hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) from cord blood, and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from both cord tissue and the placenta.
